Researching the Glorious Wonders of Our Creator Through Science
I look all around and ask myself, how can this be? How did this all come about? Am I to believe, that by some random chance, everything just came into being from nothing? And then, by chance, miraculously formed life? And then, even more miraculously, the complexity of this life "evolved", to the point of a living, breathing, conscious, self-aware, being. An individual, a person capable of comprehending this existence? TADA!
That's what is taught in "school" as fact, even though it is based on a flawed theory[1] that "they" cannot abandon, because that would mean there is a potential Creator, ie. "God" involved. It would seem to me this requires more faith in chance, than to believe that there is indeed, an all knowing and all powerful Creator, who's all encompassing and flawless designs made this all possible. Early on, because of mankind's disobediance and further defiance of the Omnipotent Creator, His flawless creation was corrupted from its original state of being perfect and "very good". Can you consider mankind's disobediance a flaw from God? In no way!!! That is mankind's free will. WE own the flaw.
This corruption is seen in all of creation today. On the other hand, one can see the under-lying intelligence and magnificence, the complexity of design, the Hand of God in all that exists. This is especially evident through science.
Natural science covers the study of the physical world and it's phenomena. It covers everything that we can sense; that we can see, touch, hear, smell, and taste. Let us not forget our abilities to reason (think) and feel (emotion) as well, although not "natural sciences" per se in today's scientific classification scheme.
Let's take a look at a very interesting analogy . . .
The Watchmaker Analogy
In crossing a heath, suppose I pitched my foot against a stone, and were asked how the stone came to be there; I might possibly answer, that, for anything I knew to the contrary, it had lain there forever: nor would it perhaps be very easy to show the absurdity of this answer. But suppose I had found a watch upon the ground, and it should be inquired how the watch happened to be in that place; I should hardly think of the answer I had before given, that for anything I knew, the watch might have always been there. . . . There must have existed, at some time, and at some place or other, an artificer or artificers, who formed [the watch] for the purpose which we find it actually to answer; who comprehended its construction, and designed its use. ... Every indication of contrivance, every manifestation of design, which existed in the watch, exists in the works of nature; with the difference, on the side of nature, of being greater or more, and that in a degree which exceeds all computation.
- William Paley [2]
14 Indeed, in their case the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled that
says: 'You will indeed hear but never understand, and you will indeed see but
never perceive.'
15 For this people's heart has grown dull, and with their ears they
can barely hear, and their eyes they have closed, lest they should see with
their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their heart and turn,
and I would heal them.'
16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see, and your ears, for they
hear.
Matthew 13:14-16
8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,
saith the LORD.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher
than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Isaiah 55:8-9
33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of
God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!
34 For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his
counseller?
35 Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto
him again?
36 For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom
be glory for ever. Amen.
Romans 11:33-36
The term "theory" seems to have been forgotten in today's academia when it comes to origin. Theories of origin, which in most cases are not being called theories, are being taught as fact. They are presented with various arguments in favor of, with a deliberate disregard for arguments against and the non-disclosure of consequential and irreconcilable flaws. This leaves no room for critical thinking, new ideas, open debate or constructive criticism. When presented as fact with no room for debate, why would a suseptible young mind even question it? But still, this is taught to our young children today which in turn, molds and defines their thinking. This is done, in most cases, to project and promote a worldview of secular society that rejects the premise of a Divine Entity, whose authority an individual would be held accountable too. This way nobody has to hold any personal responsibility to an outside Creator, and authority can be defined by whoever has the power over the people.
25 They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served something created instead of the Creator, who is praised forever. Amen.
Romans 1:25
The learned people of the world tell us this all came about by chance, that there is no God or Divine Creator. The universe, and all that is in it, our world, life, has all come about by the roll of the dice, and eventually with enough time, consistently producing the perfect roll over and over and over again. What are the odds? Chance comes down to statistical propabilities. Besides obvious evidence, in many places throughout this dissertation we will use statistics and probability to show how inconceivable it would be for our existence to come about by mere chance.
A quick note: A generally used rule of thumb for a statistical impossibility, that is, a probability so low as to not be worth mentioning, is 1x1050 [3]. And the presently accepted estimated value for the total number of atoms in the entire observable universe is somewhere between 1x1078 and 1x1082 [4]. To put those two numbers in perstective, we all know that the odds of winning the lottery are very small, 3.5x109 [5][6], but compared to the other two numbers?
Let us keep these incredibly large numbers in mind when we talk about statistical chance.
9 Remember the former things of old; for I am God, and there is no
other;
I am God, and there is none like me,
10 declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times
things not yet done, saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish
all my purpose,’
Isaiah 46:9-10
Let's consider that we all have different beliefs and ideas about what we think is true. These are called our presuppositions, our worldview, and they define our identity and who we think we are. They are what make us right in our own eyes. Sometimes our presuppositions are true and sometimes they are false, and as a cognitive person, we are reluctant to admit to being wrong. When we come across a contradition, we are more prone to challenge or reinterpret the contradicting information, than to contradict our prevailing set of beliefs. When considering evidence, it is very difficult to set aside the presuppositions that we hold and logically look at evidence with an unbiased and open mind. Truth is sometimes very hard to accept, especially if it is contrary to what we believe. The evidence for a Divine Creator has been mostly ignored by modern day science, and much of it has been intentionally distorted or suppressed.
A close examination of this evidence will reveal some remarkable and eye-opening conclusions.
20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.
Romans 1:20
Now, let us take a look at ways we can easily perceive the evidence of the handiwork of the Almighty God, our Creator, through various disciplines of science . . .
Our Creator in Biology
Explore the Wonders of the Science of Biology
Life! Does any more need to be said regarding the Hand of an Almighty Architect creating the mere concept, let alone the actual reality of life? The fact that life even exists is a concept of a much higher level than we can even imagine. Combine all the natural sciences; physics, chemistry, biology, earth, etc., and how they all work together like a fine tuned clock that keeps perfect time, life exists. How is this even possible? Certainly not by chance. We will explore the complexities of life, and how an Almighty Creator can be seen in all of life's intricate details with His most magnificent creation.
Our Creator in Chemistry
Explore the Wonders of the Science of Chemistry
Substance, that which matter is composed of, exists. Why? Matter can be broken down into individual elements that have specific properties in the way they interact, combine, and change to form new substances. It is amazing how all the elements in nature can combine together to assemble molecules that make up the matter and substances that exists in the universe. And, wth these substances, life can be formed. Truely amazing. Let's see how the elements of the world combine in such a way as to give us our reality. We will see that this is not by chance, but by the Almighty Hand of God.
Our Creator in Earth Sciences
Explore the Wonders of the Science of Our Earth
Of all realities that we perceive, the earth is that in which we live. Our mere existence in the universe is here. The earth, this microcosm, with it's delicately balanced environment finely tuned to support life, is with out a doubt magnificent. It is the closest thing to us in this vast universe to explore and inspect to verify where we came from. The earth holds the clues to our history that we can scrutinize to find the evidence for our provenance. Let's take a look at our immediate suroundings, our balanced environment in this universe, and how the earth shows the existence of the Almighty God.
Our Creator in Astronomy
Explore the Wonders of the Science of Astronomy
'The heavens declare the glory!' We look up at the night sky and survey the wonders of the universe. We contemplate what our very existence means in this vast display overhead. The farther we investigate with our various technologies, the deeper we observe, we discover such variety of what is out there, and we can only speculate as to how it got there. Are we just a miniscule instance of chance? Or, are we the key and reason for the universe? Let's take a look at what is out there, what we think we know, and that the reason we are here is because the Almighty God wants us to know that he is for real.
Our Creator in Physics
Explore the Wonders of the Science of Physics
The very first sentence in the Divine Word defines the basic elements of Physics. 'In the beginning (time), God created (energy) the heaven (space) and the earth (matter).' These four components are the cornerstone of our very reality. Our reality exists because of specific laws and principles that govern these, and could not have come about by chance. Why do the laws of physics even exist? Why should there be laws at all? Why should they prevail? We will explore what these laws are, and that the Hand of an Almighty God has woven this intricate fabric of our reality.
Questions Answered About Our Creator
Answers to What This All Means
You will no doubt have many questions regarding the reality of an Almighty Creator in the scheme of our reality. Why did He do it? For what purpose? Our God does indeed have a master plan that individually includes all of us, by His abundant grace, with our free will to follow. It is up to us as individuals to believe in the truth. We have shown the evidence in an Almighty Creator through science. Here we attempt to explain the why's of that which our Magnificent God, in His infinite wisdom, manifested this whole scenario. An attempt at why He conceived and created His master plan.
6 Yet among the mature we do impart wisdom, although it is not a
wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are doomed to pass away.
7 But we impart a secret and hidden wisdom of God, which God decreed
before the ages for our glory.
8 None of the rulers of this age understood this, for if they had,
they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
9 But, as it is written, "What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor
the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him"—
10 these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the
Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God.
11 For who knows a person's thoughts except the spirit of that
person, which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except
the Spirit of God.
12 Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit
who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God.
13 And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught
by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual truths to those who are spiritual.
14 The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of
God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because
they are spiritually discerned.
15 The spiritual person judges all things, but is himself to be
judged by no one.
16 "For who has understood the mind of the Lord so as to instruct
him?" But we have the mind of Christ.
1 Corinthians 2:6-16
ATTENTION! - Very Important!
DO NOT just accept my words, or any other person's words or teachings for that matter. By all means, be a constructive skeptic, and study.
15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth.
2 Timothy 2:15
There is only one true Word.
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and
the Word was God.
3 Through Him all things were made, and without Him nothing was made
that has been made.
14 The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have
seen His glory, the glory of the one and only Son from the Father, full of
grace and truth.
16 From His fullness we have all received grace upon grace.
John 1:1,3,14,16
The record of the Word of God is given to us in the Holy Scriptures, inspired and infallible. Evaluate everything that is taught to you, everything! Measure what is told you against what is taught in the Bible. The Holy Bible was written by men who were individually selected by Almighty God, inspired by God's Holy Spirit to write God's words, infallable and incapable of being wrong, and is completely without error in its original autograph. The Bible is God's Word. With the Word of God, His Holy Spirit and prayer, you will be able to discern what is truth.
21 But examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good;
1 Thessalonians 5:21
I am NOT an Apostle, or a Prophet, or a Worker of Miracles, and I cannot speak or interpret "tongues". I am just a seeker of truth.
6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
John 14:6
Jesus is the Truth. I am simply a disciple, a student, a follower of Jesus, Yeshua, the Son of GOD. Jesus is the Way to the Father, the Truth in ALL things, and the Life, Life now, and Life Eternal.
You can't change the truth, but the Truth can change You.
Yours in Christ,
Joel Thomas
